Classic windmill

Once there were 30,000 of these in the Netherlands. Now 1,500 are left. The job of windmills is to pump water away from the land so that The Netherlands doesn't flood. This is kind of important for a country lowers than sea level. The windmills have been replaced by a more modern structures of levees, canals and pumps.
